The Official Thrift / Discount Store Bragging Thread Part III (Sept 2018-)

I keep lurking, and forgetting to post. Anyway, picked this up while back home in NZ at a local consignment(?) shop, was on the 50% off rack. Can't seem to find a cleaner one than this on the web. 40/50s I think? Always wanted a Payday. Just didn't think i'd find it in NZ...

You had me worried at the camera body, and excited by the lenses. That 8-15 is a great beast! Haven't tried the 100 mm, but anything with a red ring is a no brainer..

Great little cameras. Super cool and somewhat collectable. Only issue is the 'pad of death', which is replaceable, just a bit annoying. Fingers crossed this one is ok? https://elekm.net/pages/cameras/repair_pad_of_death.htm

I'm no expert by any means, but the way that logo slopes, and the last 'e' kinda falls off frame is the big sign for me.

Yeah I found the flyover was good but a bit too current vintage (90's/00's) for what I'm after. I'm mainly after old leather, and pre 70's clothing in general. Workwear and militaria too. And 100% agree. Took me a long time to nail which markets in Berlin were up my alley, so I'm just trying...

Slightly off topic..but. Just moved to London, any locals able to tell me which markets / flea markets are actually worth the visit? Keen on 'antique' clothing and actual vintage/antiques. Went to Portobello Road today and uhhhh not what i'd hoped for!

I have an unusual pair of Levi jeans I haven't come across before and would like to know more...

Don't think they're fake, but they're not very old, probably mid 2000s? From Google it looks like they're made in Turkey, probably a diffusion line. Has some cool features! Red domes are cool.

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

Had this jacket on my 'moodboard' for a long, long time, stumbled across this one at a flea market here in Germany and couldn't believe my luck. If anyone has any info on these jackets, I'd love to hear more. No tags etc inside. I'm guessing it's 1940s and horse hide? ZIPP's all round. Western...
