The most recent iterations of the backpacks have really soft lamb leather on the bottom that scratches/tears pretty easily. For some, I suppose that's a vibe but I miss the thicker/rougher suede.

This isn't a big issue as they can often hold in store for a fair bit of time. I've had stuff held for up to a year since I couldn't make it back out. In addition, trunk orders are sometimes eligible for international shipping although you might need to pay for for duties into your home country.

For the prices they charge in US/EU it's probably cheaper to fly to Japan and attend the trunk show :D

Ultimately, Visvim needs to keep up with the brand and balance the design preferences for their longtime customers as well as bringing in fresh audiences. The younger demographic, particularly in JP, prefer logos and I think the brand has taken a shift to this over the last few years and is a...

I've liked some of the individual logos, but I haven't seen an overall piece where I've liked the combination of logos and front/back. For example, I think the tiger logo on the recent season's deckhand is quite nice on the back but the front "VSVM" kills it for me. I also liked the...

1,200,000 JPY? Was it really that much? If I recall the 101XX IT was only 800,000 JPY or something. Edit: Actually, looked up my trunk show order and the 101XX JKT IT was ¥630,000. That's a massive price increase in 3 years.

What do you mean by dyed piece? I have some overdye pieces, but the tags are usually sewn on after the dyeing process, so they should be pristine. Maybe it's dye leak from washing? Personally I haven't had any of my pieces, except for my natural dyed Iris, have the dye leak on the tag.

Maybe it's a JP specific thing? I've only bought ICT shoes in the US stores and those don't follow the same process (even in JP)

I am sorta curious what comes on the box when you buy from the web store. If you actually buy shoes from a brick and mortar, your SA actually signs the box.

Just buy the crash versions and you'll never worry about ruining it as it's already ruined!

The stores generally do tend to have reasonable stock on drop day, it just sells out quick through a mix of holds for vip customers who didn't order a particular item during trunk show and/or people that actually wait in line and buy up all the stuff. TBH, I don't really understand the criteria...
