** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

IMO from looking at the dainite soles, the shoes has been worn a lot, if you observe from the corner heel area, the emboss rubber is almost gone. From the middle of the soles, the dots on the dainite are almost flat. Also at the widest part of the shoes the GYW stitching there are sign of...

    Quality Of Grenson Shoes

I should explain that the decrease in quality are in terms of craftmanship, not so much in terms of materials. If you had the chance to see old Grenson shoes in person they are very well made. Likewise, I love present time Grenson because of their style and of course their history as a brand...

    Quality Of Grenson Shoes

Left to right, Stuart's Choice by Grenson, Foot the coacher by Grenson, Grenson Masterpiece, Grenson Footmaster. All reminiscence from the past, I found none of what Grenson selling now days are as high quality as what they used to made. I think Warren are made in India and from their G2...

The Official Alden Thread for 2024 - Share Reviews, Sizing, Advice, and Photos.

I found 2 pairs of Alden in my storage from Uni days. Judging from the leather sole, the left pair has been worn max 3 times, and the right max 10 times. The 972 (right pair) has to be my first and only Alden made from calf skin to this day. I always find their suede and shell to be more appealing.

    Cheaney

I been there around 9 years ago when I was a student. I remember cheaney factory store selling for around £120-150. Cj £140-180. Barker £130-150 was disappointed they didn’t have a good offer. Tricker’s for around £220-270. Church’s had the best offer. They had iconic model for as low as £90...

I did the same thing with my Tricker’s. I agree with the others, it is reversible. What I did is just wear them and brush brush brush and wipe wipe wipe.

    LOAKE APPRECIATION THREAD

It is difficult to be 100% sure telling from the pictures. I’m suspecting yours probably are janus reverse. Mine would be superbuck. I just compared them with my other suede shoes that I know what type of suede they use.

    LOAKE APPRECIATION THREAD

Hi Timothy here is my Loake Perth in suede That extra bump might be leather fold due to lasting the upper by machine. Creasing in the insole is a no issue. Welt join are to be expected, you can compared with my shoes. However I do think they use different type of suede for your shoes. cheers
