Are Real Hoxton shirts actually made in England? I don't understand how they can be so cheap if they're truly English made. Does anyone here own one? Does it say on the label?

I often hear this notion that Ben Sherman was copying Brooks Brothers but if you look at any of the vintage shirts, his collar is much more similar to Gant or Truval Career Club.

I've seen my customers walking around with the pleat all out of sorts and it doesn't seem to bother them because they're wearing it like that but it certainly bothers me seeing it standing straight up and folded to one side lol

I like the full box pleat too and I will be doing that on some the shirts. I do have a vintage '60s Ben Sherman that has an open box pleat. I've definitely seen images from the '60s era mods and skins with open box pleat shirts although it probably wasn't as common.

Most Americans are lazy and don't want to iron their shirts which is why the fully stitched box pleat can be more than they can handle. For a 100% cotton shirt that will wrinkle in the washer and dryer the fully stitched box pleat will get all out of shape which creates a not so flattering image...

They're a twill fabric but with a smooth hand. On Amazon these are "creamy" stone colored even though they're called "sand". But they read more like a light khaki to me when I look at them in person. I might order a pair in black. If they had just a half an inch more on the rise they'd be pretty...

Just got these from Amazon. Not a bad modern sta prest but I'm disappointed because they certainly aren't the color that was depicted. They're a 10.75" rise which is not the best for me but also not terrible. The fred Perry trousers definitely nailed the fit and have a 11.25" rise which makes...

I ordered a pair but I suspect they're going to be lower rise than what I like. There's a pants manufacturer in Massachusetts who I'm going to have do a slim fit high-rise sta prest trouser, we'll see how that goes.
