Weight makes sense as another factor but I doubt it makes a huge difference within a relatively healthy, normal weight range. Too bad that the recraft bill was so steep. Nevertheless, the shoes look gorgeous and have developed a really nice patina over time and the leather looks really supple and well-broken in. These are definitely shoes that get better with age.- ForwardPleats

You could try some tongue pads? They will push your feet back into the heel cup. In the future, John Lobb does offer a EE, wide width, version of most of their shoes. You might want to try those to get the right width without adding unnecessary length.- ForwardPleats
