@WaltDud they look great, I would keep them unless they are super short. What is the wash name?

Following up on my own message, I finally got the Officer Chinos in size 31x30 in Olive and it turns out they measure just under 30 inches in the waist. Same as the 30x30 I sent back. Guess I will send back again and try 32x30.

I thought about that LOL. This is why I miss the old RL store in San Francisco. I could at least try things on there. Saved me a lot of hassle.

The sizing chart on the officer's chinos is way off. I bought a size 30 after seeing the chart list the waist as 32. Turns out the waist was 29.8 unstretched. I'm a true 31 and always buy 31 in RRL slim fit denim and cords. I should have known better. Most annoying thing is that 31x30 is sold...

It's thicker and softer than I expected, quite nice. I also like the dark blue buttons. My only concern is shrinkage when washing, since it it 55 percent linen. I may end up hand washing and line dry.

RL sales are really weak now. Only FW1, and only 30 percent. I think everything on my list must be FW2 or Holiday. Anyone know when those sales hit? It seems these days the best bet is to just buy from other retailers. I picked up the Indigo checked linen workshirt weeks ago from Huckberry at...

I think RL often buys a bunch of bulk fabric and they want to use it up. Sometimes they reproduce an item, and sometimes they use the fabric in other patterns. I've seen them use the same jungle cloth in different jackets over a multi year period for example.

I don't know, I think it's possible to like a brand and provide healthy criticism at the same time, just maybe in a more constructive way than calling something garbage. For me, the increased prices and reduced sale discounts are annoyances, but my biggest gripe is with the clothes over the...

I was really interested too when I saw the lookbook pic, but what was actually produced misses entirely on the color. The jacket is supposed to look like this: not this: I wonder who gets to keep the sample models. Some of them are really in another league compared to what they end up mass...

I bought a pair of the High Slim Faded Tan Jeans on sale for $279.00. The retail price is $395.00. This is for zip fly, non selvedge denim. I just can't figure out the reasoning or justification for that retail price. Even the sales price seems quite high to me.

I have a few of the Jcrew Broken-in short-sleeve T-shirts in white and I like them better than RRL basic tees which are poor quality, even on sale. Only problem is the jcrew tees are excluded from all the major sales, though they do go on sale from time to time.

I like that they removed one sensory experience (sound) but added another (smell). I recently received what looked like a postcard with an FIL order, and it smelled great. I assume it was sprayed with subsection? Has anyone else received this?

I'm in the same boat. I had a bunch of Organic Pima Perfect Crew tees from alternative but it seems they went under. After doing some reading I plan to try one or more of the following: Sunspel classic T-shirt Velva Sheen Two-Pack Cotton-Jersey T-Shirts Organic Basics Organic Cotton Tee I've...

Are there any close up product shots of the jacket out there? The lookbook pics are really weak, with one far away shot and 1 medium shot.

That is exactly my experience. The new slim fits fit 1 size smaller. I'm normally 31 but had to move up to 32 for same fit as my current 31s.

I used From Japan just a few weeks ago and they waited too long to buy after I paid. Both of my items sold out and they refunded me. The items were on sale, and it was over the weekend, so that may be why. Here are the times to give you an idea: Sat, May 28, 9:04 PM: Registered with site. Sun...

To say Hiroki is eccentric would be an understatement lol. He's a character right out of a Wes Anderson movie. Not sure who could play him though. I noticed another article posted right below the Hiroki article on the ft.com site. Is Jony Ive wearing an Iris liner in the cover shot...

Speaking of bags, anyone have a Masterpiece Potential 2way or 3way bag? Quality looks really nice and they've been making bags in Japan since 1994. I've been eyeing the 2way v2.

Show us how you roll in Engineered Garments

@shopcanoeclub Thanks for the video showing the fits. I'm surprised the fatigue pants and work shirts don't look super oversized like previous seasons. Is the sizing coming back down to earth or did you just size down?
