I drive a 2000 Accord most of the time and a 2004 Mercedes SL65 on the weekends (traded in the porsche)

No, I didn't look at the X5 at all. I figured I'd rather have the best X3 than the worst X5. The best X5 was out of my budget. Also, I bought the 2004 in late October when the 2005 model was already out and in the dealers so I got a really good deal on it. The price was pretty comparable to other SUVs of similar size even though it's a BMW. Like I said in that other thread, I had to get an SUV because of my height and the fact that I find cars to be very uncomfortable. I do a lot of driving so comfort is paramount.

I drive a '92 BMW 545i. I'm sure everyone knows what that looks like. Sure it's old, but it's really, really fun to drive around back country roads.
