I usually just wear the booty shorts with the liner and nothing else. If I am doing a quick mile after lifting I'll just wear my usual bball shorts and boxer briefs. If I am doing fast intervals, then I need to wear some kind of compression underwear, otherwise my balls hurt from all of the bouncing.

Split sided running shorts by BOA work well for running. The liner brief generally works well. If I were to wear these for cross training, a light jock strap from Road Runner Sports works well with them. The picture of the bike shorts and the bike seat brings back private "numbing" memories of triathlon rides in swim brief's (speedos).
