The Maurice Lacroix Double Retrograde Calendrier is gorgeous. It's very impressive in person, and if you buy it from collectorstime.com or something like that, it is just at the upper limit of your budget.

Personally that's what I'd get if I had to stick to 3500.

For my graduation I'm buying myself the JLC Grande Sun/Moon Reverso in gold.

i decided to get two watches for around 1500 instead of one watch for 3000-3500, one of the watches i decided on is a Maurice Lacroix, but I'm debating on which of the 4 designs that I narrowed it down to, these pics show the watches with a black leather band, but they are also available with a steel band instead. Which one do you guys like?

I like the 2nd from the right.

Personally I'd still get one of the Masterpieces from Lacroix. That's a much better value, and a better watch.
