On the topic of shirts/studs…. Heres the situation, black tie optional wedding this weekend. Weather looks nice, so I’m going with off white shawl lapel DJ, with pleated front shirt. Do I go Casablanca and use the shell buttons that came with the shirt, or go with studs?- hpreston

Either shirt will be fine. Spread collar is suitable. Generally speaking, on the formal to less formal scale; Shawl lapel is less formal than peak, pleated front shirt less formal than marcalla or pique front.... Re: Cummerbund, you don't need one for a DB jacket since the purpose is to...- hpreston
