Chicago—will be my first.
Good luck. I've heard that the weather can be unpredictable but the course is flat and fast.

I am debating what marathon to do in the fall. I'm leaning towards one on the West Coast because I want to go to Japan afterwards and it would make the flight shorter, but there isn't one that I'm very excited about. Maybe Portland, maybe the Appletree marathon in Vancouver, WA.

I climbed yesterday and today at the gym. I managed several problems in the V4/5 range today, so I’m starting to feel normal after a recent tendon injury.

I also rode about 7 miles today for school dropoff and pickup. Half of that was pulling a trailer with kids.

Got an afternoon run on Thursday then the gym yesterday. My son got a Garmin Bounce for his birthday so we is trying to beat me in steps each day. On non-run days it's possible like yesterday.

31 miles. Rode with my neighbor, and he reminded me that the last time we did Hawk Hill together, I set a PR. I most certainly did not do that today. Almost 40% slower, and down 72w on average power for the segment. And I was trying pretty hard today. 😕

My family has been hit with a stomach bug for several days now, and today was the first day I’ve felt up to doing anything. Naturally, I chose to swim. 1900 meters at the Y, where I had the pool to myself.
