I make a many divorces like Hollywood movie star. American dream. I plan this before I get off boat from Italy.

#1) Heiress whose family fortune I take half of.
#2) Another heiress whose family fortune I take half of.
#3) This was a dare when I was drunk with a Greek. I lose a some money, and got a tattoo of a bald eagle on my chest I can't tattoo get off without losing an organ. One I drop, the other keep.
#4) I think maybe I'm in love and make a baby. Get married because I no live in sin. Turned out was a pillow. I LOSE LOTS OF MONEY. My a lawyer get it back, but then steal it to South America to start new life! MOLTO AJITA111111
#5) I'm set to beat Mickey Rooney. I no quit now.

Speaking of subsequent marriages ... my spouse's best friend has been married a "few" times. Interestingly each wife has been a terrific person. We are still in touch with all but one. At his 50th birthday party I invited this fellow with his then current wife #2. I also rather absentmindedly invited wife #1. It was a bit rough. At the 60th birthday party, I invited him with #5 but I also invited #2. As people spoke there were a few veiled references ... to what I won't say. I was a bit more careful for the 70th ... it was only his buddy and #6.


This friend shares a name with one of our now long gone dogs. For simplicity we'll call them X. On a road trip we called a former spouse of X (the person ) and my partner left a voicemail about being in the car with me and X ... then he quickly added X the dog. I piped up ... "Like that's going to clarify it." She loved it.

Only thing my wife asked for was the diamond to be round (not princess, teardrop etc).

99% of the time we end up wearing silicone rings (easier when working out, no worries when traveling)

LOL. No, we have not.

I seem to recall that in the not too distant past a Texan asked Tiffany to make him a diamond ring. Tiffany informed the "gentleman" they did not make diamond rings for men. The Texan huffed and puffed and demanded they accommodate him. Tiffany's Chairman, Walter Hoving, finally ended it with something akin to "What you wear is your business; what we make is ours".

When I got engaged my FIL gave me a diamond ring. He later confessed he hates it and it was given to him by his FIL when he got married and he wanted it gone.

Neither of us has worn it. Its hideous.

If a Tiffany rep reads your post, they will be designing the ring and a marketing campaign round management rings. Hallmark has made a fortune on made up holidays, why not create an unmet need with rings? And I'd prefer a Yachmaster, but if they are handing out Daytonas, I won't quibble.

The other day I flew a transcon from Dulles to SeaTac. The fellow next to me was wearing a diamond ring and a flashy two-tone Rolex. He also had on a coat with skinny lapels ... but I digress. He did everything possible to ensure I saw that watch. He even took it off and and put it conspicuously on his tray table. Obviously I saw it so I guess it worked.

During our meal he asked me what watch I had. I was wearing a Lange. He'd never heard of it. But not to worry, if I work as hard as he does, I can perhaps one day afford a nice watch.
