Hi Antti, we here are happy to assist you. Welcome aboard the Styleforum!Hi!
I'm Antti, a design professional from Finland.
About 10 years ago, just before handing in my Master's thesis, I made a promise to myself:
If I ever land a proper job, I'll revere it like going to church. Not that I'm a religious person, but you get the point.
I've always been quite a slim build, and learned to do my own alterations. A huge thanks to mom, who was always into textile crafts and gifted me a good sewing machine. Through tailoring, I got into classic menswear. I'm always interested in how our human world, and how the things and products in it are made.
Now being a middle aged family man limits my time for my various other interests, so dressing well has taken over as my main passion and avenue of self expression.
I'm still quite early in my journey, and super interested about tailoring and cloth.
I already have a basic wardrobe of second hand RTW and separates, MTM basics, but see myself transitioining to more suiting in the near future.
Glad to be here!
Hi Jordan, you’ve arrived, no more lurking. Don’t hesitate to ask questions. Members here help each other answer sought after information. Welcome!Hi!
Jordan here, not sure what to put here but just started getting more into menswear as someone who has been told many times i have the style of a wet rat (that is to say, none at all, and they are not entirely incorrect)--
This is partially me trying to learn more about male formalwear and all that in preparation for the day in the distant future where I have the funds to theoretically get *any* of the things here, and partially as art research as a (attempting) artist who likes drawing fashion and clothes and would prefer suits i draw in future to, well, not be abominations.
Have lurked for a couple days in preparation to being a member and find so many of the things here interesting so felt I should probably become a member, even if I'm almost certainly not going to speak very much.
Hi Salman, welcome!hi,
I'm Salman, proudly serving as the director and lead designer of a handmade pashmina shawl and scarf company.
Hi Ype, that’s a nice collection. Welcome to the forum!Hi everyone.
My name is Ype and I'm from the Netherlands. I've been running into StyleForum on multiple occasions searching for information on Filson bags/garments, sometimes a watch and more recently goodyear welted shoes. I'm not that active in these forums as I spent most of my quality time on bikes, but still appreciate the information provided here!
Just some photo's of my collection:
Welcome!My name is Jon Chang.
Presently I'm a founding partner and creative director at The Dread and Fear of Kings, where I am launching a collection of durable, understated, and highly functional menswear. I also write graphic novels and design/publish a tabletop wargame as the creative lead for the series, Black Powder Red Earth.
Previously, I've served as a founding partner and creative director at both Haley Strategic and Magpul Dynamics. I have also have provided creative and consulting services for BCM Rifle Company, Northern Red, and the Arc'teryx LEAF product development/marketing team. Finally, I was the front man to extreme music bands Discordance Axis, Gridlink, No One Knows What the Dead Think, and Hayaino Daisuki. IE I have a rather unique background ^_^;
I'm here because of my interest in purpose-driven menswear. I'm a collector of military outerwear from World War I to Vietnam and in the past decade, after consulting on the development modernized versions of many of these pieces, I decided to launch DFK.
This line leverages what I have learned about materials, utility, and movement into a single very curated offering where not one fiber or stitch has been created using force labor. Hoping to meet people and see new things.
Thank you for having me.

Hi zeometer, happy to have you aboard. Welcome!Hi, all - zeometer was the online handle I randomly chose a decade ago so I'm sticking with it. I'm a data analyst from the DC area.
Despite getting back into menswear and using styleforum as a reference (particularly with respect to blazer/suit fit) for a while it only occurred to me to make an account at this very moment. Happy to be here.
