It's off the california coast, and interestingly, not that far off from a local prison which is about 2 miles away. The job entails watching not one but two lighthouses, but I get to stay in the larger structure, more inland. My only complaint from the tour is the dilapidated condition of the windows and restroom at the base. The most dangerous part, now that I think about it, is walking from the parking lot to the lighthouse since the trail is dark and slippery as hell.

If it doesn't have wi-fi just get a 4G service. Not as good for watching streaming Appreciation but you can bring DVDs in with you.

aren't you supposed to have a scraggly voice, a white beard and a wooden leg to become one?

If we're talking about watching horror movies in a lighthouse, John Carpenter's The Fog is a must!

Is 'the larger structure' one of the lights? Why would you be walking from the parking lot to the lighhouse at night (in fact, why would you be walking to/fro at all except the fisrt day you report)? Is this a night job where you go home every day? It's too bad the gents is located at the base

A real selling point would be a sh!tter in the sky (w/ a view!).
