Fun fact: Foster’s was founded by two damn Yankees in the 1880s. Thankfully it only took just over a century for the locals to work out that it was shite. VB is awful. I prefer Hefeweizen if I’m not guzzling Champagne from the box.

Yes but in ‘those’ days people drank Reschs or Toohey’s they dominated the market. Mexican beer Fosters,VB wasn’t readily available.

I wasn't of drinking age (obviously) but have literally no recollection of Reschs. Toohey's was still prevalentish (late 90s to 00).
