Hmm… this is the “benefit” of lazy load, in which content loads before ads. However, the technology was designed for a time in which dynamic ad sizing was not a thing, much less standard practice. Let’s see if we can get this fixed somehow. It could possibly be a server speed issue as well. I long for the days when this technology was simpler.
If Trump ran on a platform of getting rid of dynamic ad sizing, and banning lazy loading, I'd at least have to consider it...

@admin @LA Guy can't say I love getting advertisements in my alerts. Absolutely nothing against the advertiser, but this crosses the line.
Sorry. We thought that it would be a nice, unobtrusive way to do things, since it does not shove something in your face, and takes up no space on the page, does not send anything to email, but there is a discreet on-site only call to action, and if you want to ignore it, you don't have to do anything. People seem to like it, based on clickthroughs, but we appreciate that it's not to your liking.

I "clicked through" because I originally had no idea it was ad placement.
Big thumbs down from me.
Plus, forgive if I'm incorrect, if you don't click through it will just stay in your notifications.

I guess I don’t mind that it’s in the list, but I don’t appreciate that it is included in the unread counter.

No, if you click on the little alert icon to view your alerts, it will go away whether you click on it or not (or at least that's true for me).
