So I'm about to sail 1400 nm, from Antigua to Nantucket

I'm helping move this yacht, The Blue Peter, to its hurricane-season home. Only stop on the way is Bermuda, which has a 14 day quarantine policy so we won't be leaving the boat.

in the meantime we're trying to set a class speed record between Antigua and Bermuda.

I'll post updates in this thread if anyone is interested. Also if I die at sea someone please delete my styleforum history....

Nice looking craft and a good adventure! Shame you can't go ashore in Bermuda :(

How was the trip?! Did you set the class speed record? :lurk:
Nope. Too many things broke which is how it goes with sailing. long-distance journeys are always a war of attrition

Oh man, I would love to try something like this. I mean, I've only sailed like a handful of times and always on SF Bay but still, it'd be a once in a lifetime thing for me to sail that far on something like that! Preferably not during a pandemic, though. Still, very cool.
