Since I partially tore my triceps tendon, I've been doing a lot of running the past 2 months. It's been a mixture of slow jogs on a trail or slow sprints on a track usually 4 days a week. Now I think I'm developing achilles tendonitis since my achilles is starting to really hurt just walking and going down stairs. Getting old sucks.

I've had a similar yet opposite experience lately - I tore my calf (and discovered two herniated discs that I've been long-suffering through) while running back in October and filled that time by getting back into the gym and lifting weights again for the first time in a very long time.

I can lift some heavy weights and get a good workout with the added benefit of not feeling as tired as a 12 mile run leaves me but now I think I've gone and torn something in my right bicep.

It's like I cannot win no matter what I try. Time to just stick to going for walks!

I'm hoping my doctor can clear me by end of May before it gets too hot and I can no longer run outside.

I'd rather be in the gym weightlifting since I know how to better regulate volume and intensity through periodization of my training blocks and focusing on different things over several weeks/months. With running, I'm doing jogging or sprinting which is the same motion.

You should take up cycling.

Can't stem cell therapy possibly help that?

Have you tried just sitting on your ass and being a fat fvck? I don’t have any injuries, other than aesthetic and possibly moral, sloth and gluttony being deadly sins and all.

I was just able to get back to light upper body weights 10 days ago. Seeing my lady doc today and hoping she'll at least clear me to use my elliptical. Cycling it out of the question for another month or two.

The thing about getting old is to remember simply doing it is more important than how intensely you do it (TWSS!)

I am in a constant rotation of tendon and joint pain, amd have been for years. If it isn't my achilles it's my shoulder or my hip or my knee. I've been wondering if I'm especially prone to tendon inflammation or what.
