Yes, and he went to their store in NYC (like I did) for a fitting. Two real misses. Something is wrong with their suit process.

Should slope, shoulder width adjustments. I had some similar issues and we could never get the fit right on my remakes.

Advice - Lapel Width on Suits

You and I are close in size. I get MTM suits. My jacket size for most fittings is 52-54L. 4 inch lapels look very "normal" and not "wide" on me. 3.5" would work and be okay, but not as nice. One of my MTM companies who is a bit classic offers several lapel sizes with 3.5 standard. The...

In my experience their suits have lower armhole designs. The Bedford line was the worst. Allen line a bit better but still an issue. Attached photo is third remake with the Allen line. I have had much better fit success with a cheaper less liked MTM company which was surprising.

Thing is I flew to NY because I loved them so much for shirts, I wanted to get my suit measured there so I paid for a flight and hotel to do it. The fitting went well. I just don't understand how three different suits (with 2 different fit advice remakes) missed the mark so badly. Nearly all of...

Love PC shirts, but with their suit I have had three remakes with little success in getting a good fit.

VBC fabric line choices for "traveler" sports coats and suits.

Thank you. I understand these are more commonly available and the ones most often promoted as Traveler blends. I will take a look. Right now I am considering Hall Madden in Chicago which offers both MTM and Bespoke. Bespoke is kind of out of my price range, but that may change in the next year...

VBC fabric line choices for "traveler" sports coats and suits.

Additional followup .... When considering MTM suits and sport coats I have found a number of places that say they carry fabrics from "VBC" or "Drago" or "XYZ". However 90% of the time this means they carry a very limited selection from these fabric mills and NOT access to the full line. That...

Need inspiration for business casual style

Style is very personal. I looked to many sources on youtube for inspiration on business casual and smart casual. Here is one channel I liked for his style. It may not be your choice. I don't know places in the EU, as what I buy I get from USA or Canada. Many folks like this place in Canada...

VBC fabric line choices for "traveler" sports coats and suits.

Just to followup on this post in case anyone looks here in the future. Here is a video with a section on the supersonic line. In this book, near there are specific set of fabrics for blazers. There is also this link on the supersonic fabrics. Best wishes.

I agree with you that plain Grey is much less versatile then navy.

Getting my first bespoke item (sport coat)

I think 380gsm is more a cool weather weight particularly if canvased and fully lined. Also a solid no pattern for a sports jacket is a bit plain and hints of suit jacket, but the texture does support a sport coat. Something with a pattern and mid weight that kind of looks nice to me...

My shirts are either button down or hidden button down, no iron, with standup placket. I do really like the royal oxford shirts.

VBC fabric line choices for "traveler" sports coats and suits.

I see there is a line of VBC material called "Supersonic" which appears to be wrinkle resistance/stain resistant. I am primarily looking for sports coats for planes, trains, business use etc. I may also order a suit or two. What fabric lines would be best to look at from VBC - or is Supersonic...

Why would you buy a NEW suit?

Same reason I really can't buy OTR. I have a 14 inch drop. MTM is the only way for me. I can't afford Bespoke.

I am not sure about midsection either. I think your shoulder could be pulled back .20 each side. It took me three shirts to get my size dialed in. The first one I had them remake, but by the third shirt I had it tailored and then adjusted my own measurements after that. Once a good tailor went...

I got my MTM suit from PC. The arm holes are too low. In fact that whole area is baggy. The rest of suit is pretty close to well fitted. I don't see any options in my sizing PC profile to change the armhole ?

Your shoulders need to come in. Maybe 0.25" each side, maybe more. This will help with sleve. Cuff in Maybe sleeve width taken down as well. A good tailor could help you make adjustments and note changes for you. Mine revamped one of my shirts for $17. One think PC can't do is tapered arms...
