Ordered the Debbie. I feel like these will actually work. Will post them when I get them in, gotta order optical lenses too.

The shape is fairly aggressive and unique, but not absurd.

Also nice to know not all shops jacked up prices on older frames. This one was $800usd with shipping.

I had Kitto optical send me on face pictures without lenses and thought I'd share. I've permission to share this. IMO, this looks cool and just bold enough for me and is what pushed me to give them a shot.

Still think a lot of the frames marketed towards women are more exciting and feel less generic in terms of shape.

Topic that just hit me— How does everyone feel that JMM is becoming more prominent not just on celebrities but featured more and more in shows and movies now? I mean i for one enjoyed “my” (lol) little niche brand before it started blowing up. Felt really connected and cool with fellow JMM community… like it was OUR thing. And also well it kinda blows for certain frames that have not been obtained yet, because now if its on a show or movie the prices on the secondary market shoot up. Lets say for example, i have seen Hemmings on ebay/grailed/ect for $400-800 depending on color here and there and now after The Gentlemen good luck finding any hemmings color for under $1500… it sucks because whats the next “HOT” frame gonna be and will it be the one you want?! Because then demand will grow due to exposure…

Anyhoo. Just a thought that came through my head at the moment
Same thoughts. I feel it's becoming fake like all these gucci, lv and other brands for basic insta models. It's expensive, flashy and without soul. Other problem (but this is personal taste) that they suit mostly people in the US size wise and they are too big for most EU guys (from the photos). My next purchase will be something classy from Francois Pinton or vintage. Personaly, I've started calculating how much of a watch I can get for one JMM pair, so I started collecting vintage 18k tanks lol. My enthusiasm kinda fell after seeing that interview with Jerome and getting a feeling he's going all-in on profits now and becoming just another consumer lux brand.

I used to feel like that about the sizes but I'd say that's mostly due to the most popular models you see featured everywhere. A lot of the titanium models fit small to medium, plus there's less popular acetates that are smallish.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think this will be a good look for you…

Yeah I can see that. I already have all my "classic" frame niches filled, so I figured I'd take a bolder risk.

I feel like I'll enjoy wearing it, even if others might not like how it looks.

Just released Akoni frames - pretty nice but not sure I think the price point of these justifies itself given these are now more expensive than jmm…

Those look pretty good though. You think the quality is on par with mainline or LF JMM?
They are very different. In some ways, I think “quality” is better in that they have titanium wirecore so won’t have the oxidation issues and are much lighter. But the acetate on these is also much much lighter feeling - that could be a benefit if you factor in ergonomics, but they definitely don’t have as much of that chunky tank look/feel that you expect from jmm

Interesting, at least in pics they look big and chunky. Kind of like a beefier Fellini or an Enzo.

Much bigger than a fellini, more like an Enzo I think but even wider. I actually think they are most like a Quentin

They also had a few other colors… here’s a green tortoise (which maybe looks best but not nearly as cool)

Love the sturges, my fav sunnies
Those r beauties- but surprised u went for the exposed wirecore, given ur preference for the understated

Actually I like both exposed and hidden wirecore and, according to colouway, it looks better the one or the other way. What I don't like are the showy decorations on the Last Frontier range.

I don't like this look. I wish you to enjoy your new frame, but in my opinion this is a style clearly designed for women. Not without a reason womens ranges are bolder and more extravagant. In the end you can wear what you like, of course, but, if I have to give you an honest advice, I would discourage you.
