The weather in NYC is sunny but cool enough to warrant flannel. I've gone for something recently worn, such that there will be no question about its fit, as there was for me Tuesday. Otherwise, a mix of old and new, and things that haven't seen the light of day in a while (that happens a lot in my closet . . .).

The keen observer might notice cuffs on my trousers in the first two images. It's true: for the first time in about 50 years I have permitted cuffs on my trousers. It may not happen again.

Very nice jacket. Not the best combination with the trousers, as I see, you could pick instead one of the colours in the pattern on the jacket, cream, blue or brown.

The weather continues to be sunny and cool in NYC, and I am cycling through the last bits of the winter wardrobe before temperatures rise and make suit-wearing a task rather than a pleasure. I shall be walking a good deal this afternoon and evening, hence the three-piece ensemble.

The trousers look like wide-leg military issue khakis which is what was worn in the
Ivy heyday of the mid 50s. By the late 50s the pants became narrower.
