Hunh. I enjoyed the last two episodes a lot - I was quite indifferent about the show early on. I'm good with the time jumps. How many seasons would complainers have liked the show to commit to the "baby years"? I suppose a full season dedicated to the first half, then the 2nd season to when the children are older? There'd still be a time jump at some point unless you're expecting many more seasons with more gradual aging. Yes, I was initially confused since I was not anticipating them coming but I get it now. Anyway, I guess we'll see whenever the 2nd season airs.

I guess maybe you could tell it awkwardly with flashbacks? Figure out some way to introduce some of the adults in a non-spoilery way, and then cut to an extended flashback? You then even introduce characters in the flashback and then reveal them as adults later?

But yeah...I'm totally cool with the time jumps. It is how you might tell the story in a book. It is a little funny with the actors, but I prefer it to some awkward extended flashback and its not like I ever got stuck figuring out who someone was. Most look pretty similar.

In case you're going through withdrawal, now that you can't get any more fresh Hot D, there should be a new book coming out-

(Spoiler alert- he's going to die before he finishes the series. Maybe before he finishes the next book)

Well if it took him 10 years (?) to do the first 3/4 of the book, then it’s still more than 3 years away from being 100%…

I don't really mind the time jumps because I don't care about any of the kids or, really, any of the other people on the show. There are just some I hate less than others, because they are all terrible people. It's sort of like watching a football game with two teams you don't like--I can appreciate the playing, but I don't really care who wins.

For better or worse (worse, in my opinion, obviously) the time jumps killed any chance to develop any meaningful connections with the younger characters, particularly Rhaenyra's kids. They seem/seemed like decent fellas, but that's hardly deep enough to make me care strongly one way or the other.
No offense to Emma … I just think she’s not as entertaining as milly

I was trying to force myself to care about the new actors and kids after the time skips started happening but I couldn’t

I prefer the older Alicent to the younger. The kids honestly haven’t had enough screen time to care much about them regardless of the time jumps.

I thought the penultimate episode was excellent, the finale slightly less so.

I think both Alicent actors are lovely, although Olivia Cooke wins the best feet category by default.

The show is very well-cast, imo. With S1 being all about political intrigue, conversations and even nonverbal cues, it has really depended on the performances of the actors to generate interest. And they’ve done a really great job as an ensemble

The only actors that are miscast are the dragons. The setting is clearly inspired by western European, specifically English, history, so the use of colored dragons is political correctness cancel culture politicizing the show because Hollywood is woke.

I still don't get where the black characters came from and why the disappeared in GOT. Do I have to have read all Westeros related books to be clued in?
