With Tolkien I don’t mind mining the works. Lots there and he kinda segues the world to modern times in a few paragraphs.A Gollum movie? Instead why not do something new with the property? I’m not sure this is what the franchise needs.
Regardless...With Tolkien Indont

Hunt for Gollum invoked Gandalf, Aragorn, the Dunedain, Saruman, High Elves and such. Could be interesting or just a cash grab.
I feel like we need a movie (or a trilogy!) to explore what happened in the power vacuum caused by the death of the Great Goblin by Gandalf in the Hobbit movies. Surely there's a lot of drama there.A Gollum movie? Instead why not do something new with the property? I’m not sure this is what the franchise needs.
I'm perfectly willing to be delighted if they crush this, but I worry that it's just going to be Rings of Power-level backfill. With Tolkien Indont

I like Andy Serkis, but it's blatantly this^^just a cash grab.
And this^^it's just going to be Rings of Power-level backfill.
World devouring cosmic villain?
He was perfectly cast for that role too.
His final performance before he died BTW.
The James Gunn suit does not look good. Doesn't look like it fits him properly.
Also, apparently his Superman doesn't give a sh1t. Some big calamity is going on in the background and Superman is just casually taking his time to put on his boots. Like wtf is he doing?
I'm really enjoying X-Men '97.
But the person who voices Storm bugs me.
It sounds like some old lady that does Shakespeare at a dinner theatre in Bakersfield.
