I'm waiting for somebody to begin bringing back those Starter brand pullovers from the '90s. I'd love to get a Red Wings or Lions one but bonus points if I could get one for a now defunct team like the Nordiques or Whalers!

Charlotte Hornets anybody?

FWIW, I think I recall listening to an interview with Yuki Matsuda, the guy who owns Meg Company brands like Yuketen and Monitaly, that he bought the Starter trademark and some of their designs a few years back, or something like that. So maybe there's hope!

oh man, as a 90s kid i definitely had some hornets merch, despite living across the country. grandmama and zo were awesome but mainly those colors and logo were :inlove:

had to grab this 18 east rugby recently out of nostalgia

Is Tiffany even considered anything more than a mall brand at this point? I'm tired of "luxury" brands just doing celebrity collabs these days. I guess I'm just a different sort of consumer. AP is the same with their terrible celebrity / brand collabs that look like gaudy crap.

Tiffany pulled back a lot of their lower priced offerings to rehabilate their image. As for collabs, their long running Elsa Peretti line is probably one of the most successful celebrity collabs of all time (sperm and fertility symbols everywhere.)

Looks like they are trying to have an updated, luxury priced line after many years of chasing the aspirational market. I think that it could hit reasonably hard, same as the Chaine d'Ancre experimentation did for some of Hermes iconic stuff. I'm not sure that there is anything here that will be iconic and copied everywhere like the Tiffany heart charm or the Hermes chaine d'Ancre, so...

yeah back when they raised prices for their sterling pieces to keep the name from deflating , probably the right move ...

I generally regard Tiffany as luxury for the masses and I think they do a good job in that lane , personally I am a fan of the nouveau DNA ( the peretti stuff is a nearly perfect extension of nouveau into modernism ) and greatly prefer their yellow gold alloy to most .

looking at the titan collection here are a couple thoughts : I am very amenable to the idea of using metal as a cabochon , I would have really liked to see a piece with gems set in place of those finial ends . I'm not sure I quite buy the poseidon reference ( the first things that came to mind were dog collars , quarter inch jacks , and buttplugs ) but I get it : Neptune / Poseidon . . also I think the yellow gold against black titanium is pretty sexy

Black and gold is terrific. Hermes did a yellow gold accent link on tarnished silver Chaine d'Ancre that I wish that they would bring back.

Tbh I went to check out the Tiffany flagship after they rehauled the building post lvmh buyout and thought most things were tacky but priced to make you think they were classy. They seemed to be quite good at attracting their target clientele which is ppl who own million dollar houses in states where the avg income is 32k, and of course mainland Chinese.

I never polish. Some pieces hae no tarnish because of near constant use, some have some, some are basically blackened. They all have their appeal.

I have a small collection of vintage Tiffany silver accessories but have no desire to wear any jewelry except a Venetian box link bracelet. I stopped by the local Tiffany store a little while ago looked at $450 porcelain coffee cups that look like paper cups, and left.
