Sure, if I'm being rational, it's a small difference. But where's the fun in that?Haha, I will typically choose the lower dollar price option for a close comp.
The S&S ones should have been unlined. They'd be literally perfect that wayI would happily pay the upcharge for unlined, But 2055 too sloppy.
Is there any insight into how they decide lined vs. unlined? By now we know it's not determined by hide/tannage.The S&S ones should have been unlined. They'd be literally perfect that way

I actually prefer the S&S makeup. I think the unstructured toe is a must. Speaking of... if anyone has a 12 they would like to sell me I would gladly pay retail.Haha, I will typically choose the lower dollar price option for a close comp.
Unstructured toe does look great on 2040.I actually prefer the S&S makeup. I think the unstructured toe is a must. Speaking of... if anyone has a 12 they would like to sell me I would gladly pay retail.

Guess I gotta work on my fits now
9 sounds like it would fit you best. Can anyone provide some advice? Am very tempted to order my first bergs from .com (Toscanello TPR captoe) however I am still struggling to figure out sizing even after scouring these forums. Currently they only have the 8.5E in stock and no 9 which is tricky since I am a self-measured 9.5E brannock with high instep and don't know if I can fit the 8.5. My best fitting last is a 9D on trubalance (thick or thin socks), and I take 9.5D on barrie but feel like I might actually be a 9E barrie. Was wondering if anyone could give any input?
