That reference means that they're generally not as high quality as true high end shoes like Crockett & Jones, Edward Green, TLB Mallorca Artista line, Gaziano & Girling, Magnanni, or even Alden, etc,

Magnanni & gaziano & girling? Really? You must not have seen them. Magnanni is same quality as Allen Edmond, if not cheaper.

Sorry, couldn’t read beyond that. You lost me.

Depends on the flaw! Small stuff like wonky stitching? Maybe live with it. But if it's a big tear, sole coming loose, or anything that messes with comfort, definitely return them. Nobody wants brand new shoes with problems!

So many people say they are setting the record and straight but instead they are making it more confusing for people entering into nicer quality shoes. This post actually does what it says it does. Great post Cobbler Bob!

seems like any field, vocab = 80/90%. Each word or phrase can B paragraphs or even a chapter to a book. Thanks so much for the vid links.
Guy’s a blessing (or other wrd of exclimation).
I now know of 3 levels of shoe and Y each has costs in that gradient.
He confirms my 1st AE purchase. I may stick w/them as = the value purchsase (I dont need ‘da best”) - durability. Just wish they (or anybody) made that late 60s frye model I seek aahahahaa (sq toe jodpur, ‘raw’ leather).
