They've been back for one six year stretch since the mid-70s. Other than their miracle run with Vince and Colt, they've been consistently mediocre since they choked away that 1977 national championship to the domers in the Cotton Bowl. Sure, they have their one or two year "we're baaaack" periods but then always slip right back to mediocrity and national irrelevance.
Given how weak the B12 is this year, I actually thought they'd make the playoff before collapsing next year, but I don't even think that's their upside now.

Enjoy this year though. Ewers is the real deal. When he's gone next year, you're going to have to suffer through watching the most over-hyped recruit in college football history implode.
