Excellent show. Makes me love living in DC. Totally eating up my saturday night (4 episodes in a row). Slightly upset Netflix chose to post all the episodes at once. I'll be done with this with nothing to look forward to in a few days. :violin:

We just started up on it last night as well. Made it through the first two episodes.

I rather like that Netflix puts all episodes of its shows up at once. While I will be done with it sooner, I hate having to wait a week to know what happened. Much prefer having control over the pace.

Don Cheadle is great. Kristen Bell is smoking hot. But the show sucks. Stopped watching after the first season (actually, I don't think I even finished the first season now that I think about it).

I think you are referring to House of Lies, and yes, the show sucks.

Ah, yes -- whoops! My bad lol. I guess I just proved how little I care for House of Lies. :satisfied:

Anyway, carry on with the original discussion, gents.

House of Cards 8/10

Netflix Series.

Enjoying it. Good scripts, well paced, fantastic production values, sets and DC looks great. And, Kevin Spacey!

I watched the first three episodes last night - Kevin Spacey is excellent in it and I'd love to get some of Robin Wright's honey on my stinger.

Just finished up the British version of the show (also on Netflix). A lot of fun. A little implausible but fun. I do for some reason kind of prefer it a bit to the US version. Not sure why. Nonetheless, two great shows.

I got addicted to House of Cards pretty quickly, ran through the whole first season in about 4 days. I've already heard buzz that this might be the first show to be nominated for an Emmy to not originally air on television, which is pretty incredible if you think about it...

I was not that impressed with the way that the season ended. There was a lot of build, and then it felt like it petered out.

For those wanting a next fix on a similar sort of political drama however, Party Animals was freaking awesome. That show needed more than one series.

It seemed to me they were just setting up anticipation for season two. I didn't mind it too much, made me excited to keep watching...

Highly entertaining and intelligent show.
" I pray to myself for myself".....lol
"..I have to admit, I despise children..." lol x 2

The show is the best thing on TV or off TV. HBO is jealous.

I know that's what they were doing, but it seemed like they built up all of this momentum through episode eight or nine, and then just sort of stalled it out without keeping up with the tension they'd built. There's still tension, but not at the level there should have been. Horses for courses though.

Highly entertaining and intelligent show.

I don't know. The Newsroom is bloody spectacular.

Does this stream in HD? I tried streaming an episode on the plasma and it looked like 480i.

I have not had a problem streaming it in HD. What kind of set up do you have?
